Specialized production of compound powder for the production of water tankers and various products by rotomolding of these materials are grades related to HDPE and MDPE polymers. Among the grades used in the manufacture of water tankers and polyethylene are light polyethylene 32604, heavy polyethylene 3840. Other grades used in the rotomolding process include linear light polyethylene 38504 and linear light polyethylene LL8446.

What is Master Batch?

Calcium carbonate masterbatch is used based on polyethylene and polypropylene with different percentages of carbonate powder. The most important factors that can play a role in the quality of the masterbatch include the grain size, uniform distribution of calcium carbonate particles, and proper dispersion in the base polymers.

Calcium carbonate masterbatch is considered a cheap white pigment due to its white color and low price, and due to the high strength of these masterbatches, they are more printable than other samples. One of the problems that plastic product manufacturers face is the rejection of color of products after production, which is solved by adding calcium carbonate masterbatch and increases the color stability of the products.

Polyethylene compound

Among the compounds used in the production of plastic products, polyethylene compound is one of the most popular. In the process of polymerization of ethylene, chains of ethylene are placed together, resulting in the production of a polymer material called polyethylene. The intermolecular bond of carbon atoms in polyethylene is strong, which results in a strong structure for this material; As a result, polyethylene compound is used as the raw material in the production of products where strength is of great importance (such as pipes, tanks, etc.).
Polyethylene compound is produced by adding some pigments and additives to polyethylene, which ultimately leads to the improvement of the physical and chemical properties of polyethylene and during production, higher quality products are produced.
Like polypropylene grades, polyethylene compound has different grades, each of which exhibits different physical and mechanical properties in different situations. These grades include: light or low-density polyethylenes, linear light polyethylenes, and heavy polyethylenes.

Heavy polyethylene is also known as high-density polyethylene compound or (HDPE). The distinguishing point of all polymer grades is their structural arrangement. In this grade of polyethylene, the polymer chains have fewer side branches and are more compact, which makes (HDPE) a heavy and inflexible polymer.
(HDPE) is known in the world for its high heat resistance. Because at very high temperatures, when the polymer reaches its maximum rigidity and stiffness, it does not break down and shows good performance. For this reason, (HDPE) has a higher melting point than other polymers of the same weight.
The high strength and low density of (HDPE) make this polymer easy to transport and handle. (HDPE) applications include the manufacture of milk bottles, bleach bottles, and other liquid storage containers.

Light polyethylene or low-density polyethylene is another popular grade of polyethylene compound, abbreviated as (LDPE). (LDPE) is represented in packaging in the form of a triangle with the number 4 and the English letters (LDPE). Compared to (HDPE), its polymer chains have more branches and sub-branches. For this reason, (LDPE) is more flexible than (HDPE); because the sub-branches in the polymer make it easier for the polymer chains to move and make them flexible.
Other notable features of (LDPE) include its toughness and high resistance to corrosion. For this purpose, (LDPE) is widely used in products such as food bags, garbage, juice cans, and packaging containers.

(MDPE) برخی از ویژگی‌ها و خواص (HDPE) و (LDPE) را با خود دارد؛ برای مثال بطری‌های (MDPE) به‌اندازه (LDPE) شفاف نیستند، ولی نسبت به (HDPE) منعطف‌تر هستند. این پلیمر خواص مکانیکی خوبی مانند شکل‌پذیری و مقاومت در برابر ضربه‌های قوی و اصطکاک کم را دارد. ولی با‌ این وجود در فشارهای بالا ممکن است، خزش داشته باشد. اما با اضافه‌کردن الیاف کوتاه می‌توان مقدار خزش آن را کم کرد. علاوه‌بر این در برابر حملات اسیدی، بازی، آنتی‌آکسیدان‌ها و عوامل کاهنده مقاومت خوبی از خود نشان می‌دهد و قابلیت جذب آن پایین است.
به‌همین دلیل (MDPE) در ساخت لوله‌های گاز، آب، فاضلاب، زهکشی، سیم‌ها، کابل‌های برقی، پوشش لوله‌های استیل و ورقه‌های شرینک به‌کار می‌رود.

پلی اتیلن سبک خطی یا به‌اختصار (LLDPE)، همان‌طور که از نامش پیداست، با (LDPE) شباهت‌هایی دارد، با‌ این تفاوت که زنجیرهای پلیمری (LLDPE) انشعاب‌های کمتری نسبت به (LDPE) دارند و منظم‌تر هستند. این نوع کامپاند پلی اتیلن از کوپلیمریزاسیون پلی اتیلن با آلفا-الفین‌هایی مانند بوتن و هگزن به‌وجود می‌آید. در برابر اشعه فرابنفش، تنش‌های محیطی و سوراخ‌شدن مقاوم است و خواص محافظتی دارد.
